I have to say that as the French romantic woman that I am is very sad….
Now on the “pont des arts” we can discover art street, because the bridge had become too dangerous. In fact, the french authority removed almost 100,000 pounds of eternal love from the bridge!!
For years, visitors have been attaching locks with sentimental messages to the bridge in symbolic acts of affection. Some further seals the deal by throwing keys into the Seine River below. Some say the only way to break the seal of love brought on by this love lock act is to find the key and unlock the padlock. Of course, that is nearly impossible, since the keys lie at the bottom of the river.
This week one of the most romantic place In my dear city of love disappear… The padlocks had to go, although the discarded keys will still lay on the bed of the Seine. But we can be sure that if it’s not padlocks it will be something else. Love always finds a way
